Join us on October 4th, 2025 to celebrate our marriage
The venue
Rosendals Tradgård, Stockholm.
The venue is a indoor - outdoor greenhouse and garden space located in a large park near the centre of Stockholm. We won’t be arranging transport as it’s easily accessible by cab, bus, tram and even just by walking.
What to Expect
Our aim is for this to be casual but a fun excuse to get dressed up. Wear clothes that make you feel special. This is our way of saying there is no specific dress code but be mindful that it is October in Stockholm. Our venue is very indoor-outdoor so please choose footware that can take some gravel and grass.
This site has recommendations about where to stay and what to expect in Stockholm (check out the second tab up above for a quick guide on the city). More information to come about any pre-wedding get togethers and specific to the event itself.
The Places to Stay
We are not reserving a hotel block since Stocholm is a big city and some of you may prefer Airbnb. The list provided below is merely a suggestion. The venue is within 20-25 mins from almost all of the locations below, at most.
If you want to stay in one of the grand dames of Stockholm hotels, we recommend Hotel Diplomat or the Grand Hotel, both on the water. Ett Hem is probably the best hotel in Stockholm, and famous for its restaurant. For a hotel in Södermalm, and from where you could take the ferry as part of your trip to the venue, we recommend the Hilton at Slussen and Hotel Rival. For something very central, we recommend the Downtown Camper and Hobo Hotel. A new hotel has just opened in central Södermalm with great reviews, Stockholm Stadshotell.
There are a few hotels right next to the Central Train Station, though we don’t recommend staying in that area. It is perfectly safe, just charmless.
For Airbnb, Östermalm and Norrmalm are the closest areas to the venue, but Stockholm is not a large city so don’t be limited to those areas. If you are curious about where to stay, just reach out to us at onetto(dot)persson(at)gmail(dot)com
Stockholm
A few key tips for visitors (check out the Stockholm tab for more tips).
Don’t get cash out, Sweden is a cashless society.
Everyone will speak English and speak it well.
Thank you is Tack.
People don’t really say please here and it’s okay.
Public transport works well, including on the boats, and strollers fit pretty much everywhere.
You can use tap-to-pay function on your card or your phone for public transport.
Hello is Hej, pronounced Hey. Do not ask my brother for help with Swedish pronunciation
Weather in October
OR
October, just like everywhere else, is a bit unpredictable. We could have glorious sunny days suitable for a sweater and a light jacket, or it could be constant rain and grey skies. Let’s hope for the former.
Please assume the evening will be chilly and come prepared. We aim to have a cozy wedding but we are planning on an indoor/outdoor experience. We will have blankets available for sitting outside cause that’s standard for Sweden.
